Ian Fleming is a privileged but directionless, angry young man full of imagination and ambition but living life as a philandering, sub-standard stockbroker in the shadow of his successful author brother. As war breaks out, Fleming manages to get himself a job in Naval Intelligence and soon that wild imagination takes him to the top of his field, running action-packed, covert missions into war-torn Europe. Through the wartime years, he wrestles for success and for the love of wealthy, connected socialite Anne O’Neill. What he learns of himself leads to the creation of the ultimate fictional hero.
